Stereo position

This lesson may serve as a simple warm-up excercise, and also a means of checking that your sound system has correct stereo imaging. We will play a mono source sound as reference, this sound should appear at the center of your stereo image, with equal loudness in the right and left speaker. Then we will pan this sound to another stereo location and you should determine the stereo position of the panned sound. We use a panning parameter convention where the value 0.0 means that the sound is panned fully to the left. Similarly, a value of 1.0 means that the sound is panned fully to the right. A pan value of 0.5 means that the sound should appear in the very centre of the stereo image.
